Community service is a huge part of FBLA. In fact, it's one of the three goals of this organization! Here are a few of our most popular service events.

Community Service

Wish Tree Shopping
Every year FBLA gets a group together and buys items to donate to children during the month of December. Members will generally gather at a store such as Wal-Mart and buy a couple toys each to give to deserving children who need them.
Soroptimist Luncheon

The leading businesswomen in our community have hosted and been a part of the annual Soroptomist International holiday luncheon at Reames Golf Course for the past few years.

Our female FBLA members volunteer to waitress and bus tables while the businesswomen of Klamath Falls sit down and enjoy a delicious luncheon!

Scavenger Hunt

One of Mazama FBLA’s most exciting community service events is the annual Scavenger Hunt. In this event, members are given a list of funny and strange objects which they are to find as they travel around Klamath Falls in groups of four or five. After two frantic hours, members meet at the starting place and count their items. At the end of the evening, members are treated to root beer floats. Items such as toys, coats, and nonperishable foods are donated to local charities--Coats for Kids, Klamath Food Bank, and Toys for Tots.

Every year, FBLA actively participates in giving to the March of Dimes. Usually, a senior from Mazama will take on the fundraising for his/her senior project. There is always an incredible amount of support for March of Dimes from students at Mazama. FBLA members usually sell paper babies or pumpkins in order to raise money for the organization. This year Sara Barkley chose March of Dimes for her senior project, and we raised $1,016.36!
